[TenTec] OT: USB to Serial interface

I'm not sure of its age -- I'll guess 3 or 4 years. I don't think its a voltage 
change on the USB port. Regardless of the port it's in I experience this new 
"feature."  If I remove it from the USB port it's on when the system boots and 
plug it into a different port (not the same port) the problem vanishes until the 
next time the system boots. I've reloaded the drivers, but it doesn't help. I've 
also reassigned its com port number to no avail.

I should get the new ones any day and I'll give one of them a crack at it.

How old is the failing UTS converter? Also, you might have a voltage change on
that particular USB port.
