[TenTec] YAMAHA CM-500 or other electret mic headsets on amateur rigs

I have been using a headset/mic combo on my ORION 11 for about 3 years now and it permanently took the place of an EV-RE27 which sits on a boom in the shack for "SHOW".
Any of these headsets work very well on amateur gear. I have been selling the headset/mic combos w/ rig specific adapters and probably have 40-50 out there in use with no complaints.
Also, you can plug the 3.5mm mini stereo plug into a 3.5mm MONO jack w/the proper adapter with no problems.
