An interesting question. I wonder if the Orion and Orion 2 differ in
this respect. On my Orion 2, I can use the CW delay to achieve
semi-break-in, but I still hear the same relay clacking away. I
expected to hear the relay only at the beginning and end of a
transmission, but that's not the case - it still follows the keying,
although the receiver is properly muted for the delay set with the CW
delay function. So, maybe Toshimi's desire to eliminate the relay noise
is not satisfied this way.
