Hi Glenn,

You are absolutely correct. We totally dropped the ball on the high
speed sweep board.
We kept wanting to get back to it, even while developing the Eagle,
several other projects, a couple of key personnel changes, etc. All
excuses, yes, but they did affect it's development time and eventual
delivery time.

Where is the high speed sweep now? We now have working prototypes in
hand from a renewed development effort, and we are trying to pick up
the ball on it again and run.
Delivery time frame is tbd.
No commitment date on this one will be given until we know it is ready
for prime time.

In the meantime, yes, we will introduce a few new items at the hamfest
that were also requested by many for existing and previous products.
Two were seen at Huntsville, and three are brand new, pretty big, in
demand, and highly useful/sought after products.

Fulfilling promises, that is one of the main reasons I came back to
TenTec, was to try to fulfill promises we have made to customers, and
the high speed sweep board is in my opinion one of the most useful
promises to the OMNI-VII customers. It will benefit Orion II customers
as well, but the OMNI-VII crowd will definitely see a huge benefit.
Along with a better audio codec for the Ethernet audio, getting speech
processing back into the monitor function, and a couple of other minor
items. All items that were promised, and are intended to be fulfilled.

Best Regards,
John Henry
