[TenTec] Apologies to Jerry and the List

My Sincere apologies to Jerry and the list for a post that I made to this list. Jerry had expressed a concern and not thinking, I responded to this on list.. 
 I did NOT mean to sling any mud or cause any hard feelings but rather possibly defuse 
a concern that Jerry had made to me, again off list,. In my effort to explain several other issues in my response to Jerry, 
I violated his confidence and for that I truly apologize.


Jerry has certainly done a lot to help us with the Corsair boards and we owe a debt of gratitude for his work.


I have a tendency to over explain things in an effort to share ideas and suggestions on projects and processes. Perhaps to a fault.


Again, Jerry and list members, my sincere apology, I never meant to stir up any stink..

Andrew,
     Glenn thinks Paul was just having a bad day (as we all do from time to
time).  And, I am sure Paul was just stating company policy.  Glenn is
pretty good friends with Paul and I am hoping he can convince Ten-Tec to do
the right thing and either program the controllers for a fee or let Glenn
have the code.  We'll just have to wait and see.

Understood.  It's unfortunate that it ended up on the list.  Mistakes
happen.  No hard feelings to you or Glenn or anyone else, I assure you, and
I apologize if I sounded like I placed blame in places where it should be
placed.  I just feel bad for "Paul" in this instance.

I'm glad to hear that they at least have the means to program the part, and
share your frustration in the fact that they can't provide that service.

I wonder if a middle ground would be to approach them about providing source
code for the device, and info about what programmer is needed, given that
the device and radio are no longer supported?  After all, they've put the
manuals online for obsolete products.  If they aren't providing the service
themselves, then losing money due to competition isn't a factor.

Again, I'm grateful to you & all who are pushing to keep these great rigs
alive.
