[TenTec] Speaking of Ameritron amps...

I can read the schematic, I think. But as far as the article is
concerned... I took Spanish in school, so if you'll pardon the mixed
metaphor, it's Greek to me!

I set up a pre-MFJ AL-80A to work with an OMNI VI+.
The circuitry is more or less identical both transceivers and both amps.

I used a home-brew time sequence keyer to assure clean keying, and never had
any problem.

You can find a description (in German) of my circuit here:
http://www.dj0ip.de/downloads/
(It's #2 on my download page).
Although the description is in German, you can read the schematic and the
timing diagrams.
This circuit delayed the first dit about 20ms and had a manually adjustable
"hang delay" for the amp's relay.

I loaned that amp out a lot for contests when I did not need it myself.
I sometimes got it back with slightly burnt relay contacts.

Well, since we were talking about the Ameritron amps... out of idle
curiosity...

Has anyone on the list set up a (pre-MFJ) Ameritron AL-84 with a Corsair II?

I think I'm finally going to get off my keister & get them hooked up
together for the upcoming 160 season, so any tips would be appreciated.
