re: Whining...
I got my extra in the '70s...back when the 20 wpm code was required.
The code gave me fits, the theory not so much. Got it(!) and never
looked back. The test at that time was difficult because it was made
to 'weed-out'. Questions about aspects of the hobby that I never was
interested in, have never participated in, and have no intention of
trying. It was(!) and had to be overcome to get the privileges. Nuff
said about that!

"Elmers":While I am not the brightest star in the sky (having
forgotten more than I know) I still have a lot of practical knowledge
floating around inside my head. Antennas that I put up generally stay
up and work and I vaguely remember the differences between AC and
DC... I have offered and offered and offered to help new hams without
any strings attached but they don't seem to want any help! Maybe the
'younguns' think they know it all(?) Maybe they are just not
interested in ???. I don't know, but: 1. ) I have offered multiple
times and 2.) have had few respond.
Point is: There are still "Elmers".

Enough ranting! What does this have to do with Ten-Tec?
73 to all!

Low priced would be good. I like Ten Tec, but any brand works.
