An electrical BOND is a connection between objects that is mechanically 
and electrically robust, has a very low impedance, and of sufficient 
diameter to carry any current likely to occur in the case of failure.  
In simple terms, this means a "short, fat, conductor that is 
mechanically quite secure at each end, and makes very good electrical 
contact at each end."
