[TenTec] Eagle vs. ???

Can anyone tell me their thoughts on how the new Eagle compares to an older
Omni 6+ ?

I have my thoughts, but would like to see if anyone concurs.

Actually...I'm thinking of letting go of my old workhorse...the Yaesu 
1000D.
It's nice, but getting a bit long in the tooth!!!

What I'm wondering is if the Eagle simply blows the Omni VI+ off the map 
in any
particular areas....or perhaps the truth is the other way around??
