If you use metal containers for your MESH nodes they should survive EMP. 
  As will your other radios if turned off and not under a direct blast. 
  If they are in near field of EMP and that which caused it you won't be 
there to need radio anyway.

Normally Mesh is deployed AFTER a disaster, not left in place except for 
a few relay points, year around.
