    I don't have any problems with the links on
<http://users.hal-pc.org/~kg5u/301.html>.  The schematic is so simple it is
pathetic.  All it consists of is a 125 pulse Quadrature, two channel (A/B)
encoder, connecting cable, and DB25M.  Pretty simple.  It could be
duplicated easily.

Pin 1 and 14 of DB25M is ground
Pin 6 connects +5VDC to the encoder
Pin 8 of DB25M connects to channel A of encoder
Pin 16 of DB25M connects to channel B of encoder

That is it!
