TenTec and related Items For Sale --
HF linear amp, RF Speech Processor, Power Supply,
CW Items, Connectors, and more For Sale:

TenTec Hercules II 420 HF Amplifier:

This is a fully solid state all-mode HF linear
amplifier covering 1.8 to 30 MHz continuously.
It requires 13.6 VDC at 100 A max. Drive power
is 50 to 80 W typical for 550 W output. Maximum
Power output on SSB/CW/RTTY is 550 W DC at 50%
duty cycle.

This amp features full QSK break in CW. It can
be remote controlled (bands switched remotely)
from many transceivers.

This particular amplifier looks extremely nice.
I can not find a scratch on it. Electrically, I
think all works fine. It requires a 13 V DC power
supply in the 80 to 100 amp category. I only have
a 35 amp supply to test it with. As a result, I
only get 250 watts out of it before the power supply
over current limit kicks off. All of the QSK and
everything works fine, as long as I keep it low
enough for the power supply I have.

With paper work and power cord for $900.

Power connectors for TenTec Hercules II HF Amp:

TenTec wants a fortune for these connectors!
These are the 12 pin, heavy duty "Molex Type" plug
and socket as is used for power on the TenTec
Hercules II HF Amplifier.

Plug for on power cord
It includes the 12 pin plug, plus the 12 pins to
go into it, so you can make your own power cable. $15

Socket as is on amplifier
This is the "other end" of the power plug above.
It is the same as what is mounted on the chassis.
It includes the plastic shell, plus the 12 pins
that are needed. $12

If you use both of the above, you can make an extension
cable for the Hercules II amplifier. Buy both for $25.

TenTec 715 RF Speech Processor:

The Model 715 RF Speech Processor is a high performance
true RF-type speech processor designed to operate with
most modern HF Amateur Radio transceivers. RF speech
processing is a superior system to traditional AF
systems found in a typical HF transceiver.

..Increase average SSB power output by up to 6 dB
..Enhance readability by stations hearing your signal
..Break pileups for DXpeditions faster
..Keep your net or contest run frequency clearer
..Easy to install, easy to operate

The 715 RF speech processor is installed between the
microphone and the microphone jack on your transceiver.
Two microphone inputs are provided -- an 8 pin microphone
connector wired for TenTec and Yaesu, and a 1/8” input
used for direct connection of microphones. 13 V DC required.

This particular unit works 100% and looks like new.
Paper work is included for $200.

TenTec Switching Power Supply:

"Switcher / 25" 25 amp switching power supply:
This is a 25 amp switching power supply in a case that
matches the early Omni series case, with the metal bezel
around it. It is in a case that is the same size as a 243
remote VFO. It has an ammeter on the front, along with
Switch, TenTec logo, and output bulb. The front panel
basically looks like a 280 power supply with a metal bezel,
but says "Switcher/25" on it. It is very quiet, and well
shielded, and does not produce any electrical noise that
I could find. $170

MFJ 1118 DC Power Distribution Strip:

The MFJ-1118 is a versatile, high-current deluxe
multiple DC power outlet. It lets you power two HF
and/or VHF transceivers and six or more accessories
from your transceiver's main 13 V DC power supply.
You get two pairs of super heavy duty 30 amp 5-way
binding posts for powering your transceivers. Each
pair is individually fused and RF bypassed, capable
of a total of 35 amps.

An LED indicates power "ON". Six pairs of heavy duty,
RF bypassed 5-way binding posts lets you power your
accessories. They handle a total of 15 amps and are
protected by a master fuse, have an ON/OFF power
switch and an LED power indicator.

You get 6 feet super heavy eight gauge color-coded
cable with ring tongue terminals, plus a built-in
0 - 25 VDC monitor meter.

With paper work for only $60.

MFJ 815 B Cross Needle Peak Reading HF Wattmeter:

The MFJ-815B cross-needle meter allows you to monitor both
forward and reflected power, and SWR simultaneously. There
are buttons to select either Peak or Average reading and
power ranges of 200/2000 watts forward and 50/500 watts
reflected. Frequency coverage is 1.8 to 60 MHz, so it covers
6 meters in addition to the HF bands, making it ideal for
some of the new rigs that include 6 meters.
The peak reading function of this meter and meter light
require external 12 V DC.

This particular unit works fine, and looks very close to new.
With paper work for $65.

Cables for CW keyers and keys:

Cable for paddles
About 3 feet long, and with a 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) stereo
connector on the end, like used by most rigs. $8
