Darell
Ii just purchased an EAGLE used and I own both the earlier Jupiter and the
newer one, and when I turned on the Eagle I got a really big WOW ! The
dynamic range is out of sight it hears what other radios,, i.e. not made in
the USA kind just wish they could hear. I put it up against a couple well
known other brands and the difference was so great even I thought there
must just be something wrong with the other radios. So Ten Tec in my
opinion, has been doing their homework and really busy and come a long way.
I think I can say they are now in the big leagues on top of the pile. I
have been on the air and have received nothing but great audio reports
using the EAGLE. The receiver dynamic range is what it is all about this is
what set Collins apart from the rest years ago... I want to hear that weak
one and it is NOT ALL JUST SENITIVITY THAT NOISE FLOOR HAS TO BE SUCH THAT
IT DOES NOT COVER UP THAT WEAK SIGNAL. All those bells and whistles are
nice but you need to hear the other station to work them..
