[TenTec] TT 238C will not tune

What's the antenna configuration?
Start with a dummy load on ANT 1, antenna switch in #1 position. If that
doesn't work, either the input jumper is bad or someone has "monkeyed"
with the circuit. An ohm meter check from input to output will confirm
the ANTENNA switch and HI/LO Z switches are good.
If you are using ANT 4, is there a jumper between the terminals on the
rear? If so, that's only for balanced line. Otherwise, without the
jumper #4 will feed a coax or unbalanced antenna. The fixed caps at the
rear of the HI/LO Z switch will be two 220pf caps wired parallel for each
of the 4 positons. Visually confirm that the roller is actually turning
and the variable C is turning when you turn the knobs.
I think most will agree that the tuner will match about anything hung on
the output if it is working correct.
