[TenTec] equipment storage?

While the Styrofoam will act as padding, its insulation quality will only
slow temperature changes and not provide long term temperature insulating
protection..... case in point, if the garage is not insulated or heated and
the winter temp are zero F for several days, the temp inside the Styrofoam
container will be zero F; same situation in a garage attic in the summer....
the inside of the container absent any cooling or heating material /
capability soon achieves the temperature of the exterior.

Depends on your climate. I would not store anything in an uninsulated
garage, (or attic) in the South and Southwest, nor in the North in
Winter. You might do better putting rigs into styrofoam picnic (beer)
coolers for insulation and padding. See if you can't empty out the back
of a closet or below the clothes rack. Also, watch out in tropical
areas, for high humidity problems. You might want to put containers of
silica gel in with equipment, but not sitting against metal and finishes.
