[TenTec] TT 238C will not tune

Correct Jim, the cord can be installed such that either way could be maximum
inductance. In general I find that #30 is, or at least should be in my
thinking, maximum inductance.
Having had my tuner for some years, the cord has long deteriorated. Maybe
one day I'll get around to replacing it. In the mean time, I did make a
chart for each antenna and each band and with several frequencies noted.
Today I just set the C for the value on the chart, set the BYPASS switch for
the value on the chart and crank the L for the lowest SWR. It really
doesn't get much faster than that. Also a very important note, my switching
arrangement does allow me to use my analyzer to set the value. I do not
transmit while making adjustments. We have enough QRM on the bands without
some bozo generating carrier to make tuning adjustments.

yeah…just found that out! should of caught that sooner…..
I had a 238C demo that TT sent me some time back and for the life of me
could not remember the dial numbers being reversed.
