The ANZAC mixer is a commonly used where a double balanced mixer is
required. The Corsair / Corsair-II receiver MAY have used a mixer similar in
design to one of ANZAC's....
Google (ANZAC mixer)...

There have been several references recently to "AZNAC" (or is it "ANZAC"?)
receiver design. Can someone please give a short review? I tried google
but got no useful results.
Thanks and 73

Did the original Corsair employ the "AZNAC" design?
I read that the original Corsair used 4 discrete Schottky diodes in the
mixer and that the Corsair II used 4 monolithic Schottky diodes in the
mixer.
Also, looking at the Sherwood Receiver Test Data on the web, I see it only
lists data for the "Corsair" which would I would assume is the original
version (?).
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
