[TenTec] OT: Need advice checking out a stored 3-500

If it were an external anode tube with a indirectly heated cathode a
burn-in period would be appropriate. With a glass envelope tube and a coated
filament, there is no need to burn-in the 3-500. The tube must be operated
with color showing on the place to consume any gas inside the envelope.

The AL-80 does not have a separate FIL and HV switches. When the amp is
turned on, the filament and high voltage is uniformly applied with
appropriate delay of about 1/2 second. The warm-up requirement of the 3-500
is approximately 1 second at which time it is ready to go.
