I USE A PRODUCT CALLED  ( DEOXIT)  BY CAIG LABS YOU CAN GET IT AT MUSIC SHOPS OR ONLINE RADIO SHACK DOES HAVE IT ALSO ABOUT $15-18  a can but it is the best belive me when I tell you !

I would proceed and unplug each connector, one at a time.  Apply a very 
small amount of contact cleaner to the female part.   Then using a Q-Tip 
with again a very small amount of contact cleaner wetting the Q-Tip, wipe 
each of the male pins.  Then plug that connector back in and remove another, 
following the same process, for each one.

I bet you'll be surprised and it will perform like a new radio.
