You can add a panadapter to the Eagle without adding the 9 mhz IF. I
did it with my Eagle. I replaced cable #2 with a Y cable. The third
peg of the Y cable then goes to a panadapter receiver. This is very
similar to the Omni VII mod and works great. You then connect the third
leg of the Y cable to a Softrock Ensemble II or other panadapter radio.
