[TenTec] Corsair II & Alpha

Duane,

I thought I remembered that the OLD Alpha amps use open-frame T/R relays,
but I was wrong - at least for the 77. The manual says it uses an HC-1. If
it had been openframe, then you would need some hang delay when keying it.
The Orion provides this, but I don't know if the Corsair does or not.

Yes the high-end Yaesu radios incorporated the Ten-Tec-like keying
circuitry, and so did Acom.

Just FYI - Works fine with my Orion and Alpha 99. Not sure why the Corsair
II wouldn't, but it may not have the same keying circuit as the Orion (which
shared, I believe, the Omni VI/VI+ circuit. In fact, didn't I hear that
Yaesu copied the same keying loop architecture? OK, so I've moved from
specifics to generalities - not a prudent approach, I agree.
