I've always just used clip leads.

TMP connectors? Try Inrad and other other suppliers.

Look to the left of the jack.? There are two resistors and you can hook on to the second
to the left of the jack.? One side is ground and the other hooks to the jack.?
I have been told there are several versions of the board, so the directions in the manual
are not correct for all.? I have two versions of the board here and only one will work in my
VI+.?

I've found it easiest to clip on to the end of a resitor located near the
connector. I also suggest usng a 10X probe from my scope to connect to the
input of the frequency counter.
I do suggest you follow all of the steps in the manual and in their specific
order as there is some "interaction" between the adjustment. After making
all of the adjustments, I suggest leaving the test lead connected but just
slipping the cover on to allow the radio to heat for about 30 min. Then
re-check the frequencies. Some small amount of "touch up" may be needed.
