I had them about a year and a half when the problem manifested itself.

That is a bit disappointing about the rubber parts going bad. I had planned to order a pair later this week. How long did you have them when the problem started?

I have a pair. The microphone is excellent but I don’t consider the received sound anything to write home about. They are heavy and uncomfortable on my head. There are rubber parts at the ends of the headband which have deteriorated and are gummy -rubber probably not properly compounded. Unfortunately I discarded them. Now using the very good TenTec 707 Mic and cheap lightweight Sennheiser headphones.
