[TenTec] Corsair II noise blanker

Brian,
I used an Omni V and then an Omni VI+ for years, but never found their noise blankers to be very useful. I no longer have them and I am back to my original Corsair II. If I turn the noise blanker level up very high it seems to be effective on some types of impulse noise. Mine uses the 80977 NB board.
Maybe the most effective noise blanker I've used is the one in my little Elecraft K2. It has a couple of different settings and it actually does reduce some noise types without chopping up the intended signal.
Your mileage may vary...

Do any of these TT noise blankers do anything for you guys. Mine appears to do very little in my Omni VI Plus...
