Likely true.  But purchasing from Tentec there is a 30 day warranty as I 
recall.   And should there be an issue, I'm sure they will make it right. 
Then purchasing from a user or E-Bay or hamfest seller, you get what you 
get.  I don't like to spend any more money than necessary thus I try to buy 
wisely, not necessarily the cheapest or least expensive.
