I did find some promising ones on ebay for mere pennies compared to $100
I think the issue that needs addressed using just any TCXO of correct 
frequency is the output form needs to be square wave and full amplitude for 
the circuits following in the radio.
They were cheap enough that it piqued my interest to try but it got put on 
my "someday" list
Anyway what happened on my OMNI VI is it started out drifting and wasn't 
long before the oven heating element shorted to the crystal.  Still workable 
after the shorted element removed but not acceptable
I bit the bullet and bought the $100 replacement

I understand they no longer have TCXOs, or at least that was the impression
I got when my VI was in the shop earlier this year.  No harm in asking
though.
