I use my old parallel HP laserjet 2P plus with windows 7 and a 
usb-parallel interface. Works great...just bought a new toner cartridge 
for it. Ten bucks on ebay...OEM HP  I don't think the ink-cartridge 
every other week is a good economical decision!
