Virtually all active contesters use computers for logging, for sending
CW, SSB, and RTTY messages, and for decoding RTTY. I suspect that the
only participants not using a computer for these purposes are occasional
contesters who jump in to pass out a few QSOs, or a few technophobes who
are afraid of computers.

Think about it -- if you're contesting without using a computer to send
CQ, you never get the opportunity to munch trail mix or swig coffee! As
a very active contester in all three of those modes, I'd guess fewer
than 5% of those submitting logs for CW and SSB contests are not using a
computer for logging. And while I don't condone it, there are a few hams
who use the computer to copy CW.
