At 100ms, the delay will be long enough to hold the relay in when running
high speeds.
It takes about 200ms to hold it in when running at 20 wpm.
What you will see is, it holds between dits and characters, but falls out
between words.

You'll still hear a bit of clackety but it won't be nearly as bad as the
clackety-clack-clack without the 100ms delay.

You will be able to safely use the amp for stuff like chasing DX, but you
probably wouldn't want to run a contest that way.

When not contesting, I keep mine set about 500 ms.

I'm thinking since the end of character delay on CW can be set up to 100
ms., that it might be enough delay  to hold the relay between characters
with the old amp.  I'll try it later tonight.

Otherwise, the Clipperton will be phone only.
