[TenTec] Using a Yamaha CM500 headset with TT Orion II - advice needed!

*                     I have used about everything out there with an
Electret Capsule in it. Even used a Computer Headset from Dollar General.
It was normally $10.00 but, we got it at 50% off. I always use an 8.5K
resistor with a .1 Capacitor. That's 1/10th uf. Never on an Orion ( wish we
could get that Lucky ) But that combination has worked well on the older
Omni D which is an High Impedance Input. The Paragon and Omni 6 opt. 3 also
work quite well, and the Jupiter also. Last Christmas, a box from Ten Tec
arrived early from parts unknown. It contained a Ten Tec Model 777 DX
Pro Headset and 4 pin adapter. For my various Ten Tec Rigs, it has turned
out to be the one folks like the best by a Great Margin on All of my Ten
Tec Gear. From what I can see from looking at it, we have a big suspicion
that Bob Heil, probably had something to do with the design and such.
Although don't know that to be a fact. I call between 5 and 7 Nets each
week and am 125% Happy with the Model 777...... Having No Idea about what
type Element is in this headset, I don't really care. Just know that it
works Great for me. Also, we have listened to the home stereo with it and
are very satisfied with the high fidelity performance also. maybe, someone
in your area has one which you can try out on your Orion?*
