Please stop sugar-coating the problem.
Even Flex recoginized it and fixed it with the 6000 series.
IMO, the 5000 should not be allowed on the bands unless QRP.

I agree it is something the manufacturers could improve upon, but probably won't be a priority. The last two sentences in the study echo what I stated in my emails. The Flex 5000 might be dirty, but when I really need a SSB DX station, I skip the Orion 1, Orion 2 and use the Flex 5000. When coupled with the Alpha, nothing at my house beats it on SSB.
