[TenTec] OMNI 5 GOES DEAD ON 40

I have an old, beloved keyer (KC1) that uses these accursed things. If the number is the same (I'll look it up) I'd love learning more about opening it up an running leads externally to a replaceable battery. I've purchased replacements from Mouser and they are newer but not new.
