Carl:  You are looking at another thread that is on-going.  The Omni VI series does NOT have thatweird ram chip.  The logic board on the VI series has a battery that is replaceable.  I know this fora fact since I have one that I am looking at right now and the other logic board in my hand.  The 
eprom that Pete is looking for is the 27C64 from the logic board and it is the same one that TenTecused in all three revisions. The board I have came from a revision 3 radio.  The revision 3 was afactory option that included the 9 mhz if board that allows two "narrow" filters.  You may interchange 
the logic eprom without any problems.  I do have the instruction sheet here with too.

No, not that one.  This is a RAM chip, not the microprocessor with built 
in EPROM.
