[TenTec] Omni 6 Plus: No RX or TX on 10 meters (Intermittent)

I had a 961 power supply crap out on me, right in the middle of a contest.
It was nearly 10 years old.
The problem was missing solder on one of the connections in the power
supply.
It had simply never been soldered.
I soldered it and it returned to life.
We have a saying in German that describes this best, but the translation
into English is a bit rough:
"There are things which don't exist."
(think about it)

I'm surprised by having to re-solder these boards also Jim. I would have
thought that a bad connection would show up much sooner.
The first time I ran into it was on this same Omni 6 Plus which was already
11 years old at the time. The PLL board went wacko and one of the guys on
the reflector insisted that hitting all the connections with an iron would
fix it. I'm glad I listened to him cuz it turned out he was right.
If you're interested in the details, you can search on my call in the
reflector archives.

I'm glad you found the fix.
Why is it there are so many re-solder fixes these days. I don't recall ever
hearing about resoldering on the old gear. Anybody ever have to fix a 75A4
or SX101, etc. by resoldering some connections?
