Same experience here
Installed the 2.8 INRAD filters and LOVE them for general ssb use
However, you may also benefit from touching up the bfo frequencies and
carrier null which it probably needs anyway as Barry mentioned.
Also, with the wider filter the carrier null becomes more touchy to do. I
replaced the two pots with ten turn trimmers to make it easier.

Not really true in my experience John. The BFO oscillator alignment is
exactly the same. I believe the only step actually recommended was to
touch up the carrier null adjustment, which is a very simple process that
all Omni 6's could probably benefit from anyway, even if the filter wasn't
changed.
