Try Bourns 3296Y family. The 10k is 3296Y-1-103LF. The second one is
either 3296Y-1-101 (100 ohm) OR 3296Y-1-102LF (1k ohm). Got them at DigiKey
Sorry for the ambiguity but the values in my radio (563 option 3) did not
agree with one of my manuals so there is a couple each in my parts bin.
Important part is they are the triad lead pattern with top adjust and do
drop right in on the board. SIGNIFICANT TIP. Remove old trimmer and
measure where it is set and pre set the new one to that. With the two
adjustments and interaction it saves a LOT of fiddling.
Also good to note that about the best carrier suppression attainable (both
sidebands) with the wide filter is 38 db. Inrad makes note of that and
having done two radios I would agree.

I'm also looking for better trimmer caps for the bfo adjusts as one of the
radios I did the frequencies are always moving around a bit and with the
wide filters a bit is a lot. I have not put the radio on the bench and done
any significant measurements as to where the drift is coming from. Could be
the crystals or ???

Anyway, long post short, I really love this radio now. Looks, sound, the
whole package and I get awesome audio reports from the other end.
What I started with turns out the original TT 2.4khz filter was really
bonkers---passband shifted and a big hole in the middle of the voice range.

Lacking space for external speakers for everything I also replaced speaker
with a "hi fi" driver from Parts Express that was a no modification fit and
that gives more lows to the package.
I did not do the INRAD mod which moves the notch so it doesn't affect the lf
response---I just park notch at the other end, the hf end. Simple, problem
solved.

Paul, can you say more about those 10-turn trimmers? Do you have a part
number and was it an exact drop-in fit? You're absolutely right about it
being touchy but it's amazing how deep a null you can get if you're VERY
careful.
