[TenTec] More TT Developments

Of course TEN-TEC also sold a few other items that others had made, some
MFJ product, some different mics, some different power strips, some
antennas, etc., but the main product line of rigs was designed/manufactured
in Sevierville.

TEN-TEC did import the Youkits products from China, namely the HB1B, HB1A,
and the antenna analyzer. We did this because they were really good
products, and we tested them and stood behind their quality.

ALL other rigs were made in Sevierville by the TEN-TEC factory.
We did get boards from QSC (whose owners were also part owners of RKR
Designs).
Metal came from two prior TEN-TEC employees.
But all product build and assembly and testing was done in Sevierville.
So all aspects of the creation of products came either from the Sevierville
factory or from some entity who had vested interested in TEN-TEC.

I love how these rumors fly about everything coming from China, well, that
isn't true.
No matter how many times we answered this in public, someone is just
trolling about to say bad things about TEN-TEC to cut down their reputation.

The Argonaut VI, the Rebel, the Patriot, the OMNI-VII, the amps, the etc.,
all engineered and made in Sevierville.

How this will pan out in the future? Who knows.
But, when I was at TT, everything came from TT hands except for three items
that we did not have time to develop and there was a huge need for them in
the market place. (plus the MFJ, the comet antennas, etc.)
Transitioning to RKR Designs it was determined by the new owners that it
was better to not carry the Youkits items not designed and made by TEN-TEC
in Sevierville, but those same products (namely the items from YouKits
(HB1B, HB1A)) last I knew were being sold by Scott Robbins at Vibroplex.
In fact at the time he started carrying them he was the exclusive US
distributor for the entire YouKit line.
