[TenTec] Omni VII low power in SSB Xmit.

Thanks Larry,
Kinda new to the reflector so patients is the answer I guess. I do have a
backup rig. However, the way the bands are it doesn't get much use. In my
correspondences with Ten-Tec they have already sent me an RMA because I
indicated a trip maybe in order to visit some friends near Sevierville. So
their taking orders and the turnaround time is about two weeks less
shipping. Thanks for the shout.

Hi Kevin,
don't have an answer for you and i hope someone does.
be patient with ten tec and hope you have a back up or borrowed rig.....
it took them almost 3 weeks to send me a repair order # for my omni VII.
4 day trip down there, 2 weeks for the call that it was done.
i paid right away on a thurs, then not shipped out till mon with a 4 day
trip back here.
that's about 6 weeks all together.

Just posing the question again before I package up the rig and send it off
to Ten-Tec for repair. The transmitter has low power (35 watts) in SSB (USB
/ LSB) transmit with no ALC light operation. Thanks for any advice.
