[TenTec] TT Orion 2 and inrad 2400 hrz ssb filter?

Except...

You could just leave the DSP at a wider bandwidth, 2.5, 3, 4, then
switch the roofing filter from the filters menu. Hassle-ish, and perhaps
of little outright utility, but might allow you to compare the two
filters without varying the DSP BW.

On the Omni 5 and 6 there was cascading on the 9 MHz board so there was benefit in putting a 2.4 KHz filter into the N1 position of the 9 MHz hard as this produced 16 pole effective filtering. I did this several times using a standard Ten Tec 2.4 KHz filter in the N-1 slot and notices some improvement in adjacent signal rejection without the awful audio offered when using the 1.8 KHz filter. Not so in the Orion.

This would sharpen the skirts of the roofing filter, offering somewhat better selectivity while still offering reasonable SSB bandwidth. The roofing filter is not even used in transmit so that change would not affect transmitter radio one iota.
