Do you remember when CD's were first coming out the big hoo-haw about using blue magic markers to color the edge to "keep the laser light from escaping?" Oh, man, I had just started a subscription to one of the terrible audio mags, and instantly cancelled it when that one was written up! And I can't say "Monster Cable" without laughing . . .

Oh, I'm well aware of the ravings of the audiophools and the carnival barkers who extract money from them -- they were routinely the topic of considerable merriment when we gathered in the bar at meetings of professional audio societies (I'm a Fellow of the AES and an emeritus member of the Acoustical Society of America).
Bob, K4TAX, is also retired from the world of pro audio.
