[TenTec] Jupiter power problem

Louis,

I'm jumping into this late. You have been down these roads already but here's my two cents:
1) My Omni 6 Plus has done the exact same thing as a result of RF feedback and/or a high SWR. Have you seen this occur on more than one antenna?
2) I don't know if the Jupiter uses the same 4-pin Molex as the Omni 6 Plus. But, If the connector is your problem, I'd think you would see obvious damage or evidence of over-heating. I trust the Molex connectors way more than the Anderson Power Poles. ( I'm probably the lone ranger with that opinion)
3) Can you try another power supply?
Later, Joe, K8MP

Hello Louis.
I have not seen a youtube video either. However, I did write a small
blurp with photos on the Tec Tec Wiki.
<Molex to Power Poles Conversion by N2FQ <http://www.tentecwiki.org/doku.php?id=jupiter_molex_to_power_poles_conversion>>
Essentially you will need some power poles and a panel retaining plate.
There is also a sku number to order a pcb mounting tabs for the power
poles.
Let me know if the photos are not helping.
