[TenTec] ARGONAUT 515 problem

Simple test!

You’d need a second receiver, or transceiver. Set it to 80 meters LSB

Connect the 515 into dummy load and set to 80 meters NORMAL.

Set both to same frequency i.e. 3.890  MHz LSB

Plug in headphones into second receiver and listen to yourself as you talk on the 515.

Are you able to understand yourself?

Good!

Now switch, and put the second transceiver into the dummy load and transmit while you listen on the 515. Making sure you’re both on LSB

Are you able to understand yourself on the 515?

Good!

If not, then you’ll need to look closer. I’m betting there is nothing wrong.
