[TenTec] RE Help on O2 update

OK gurus:

As described below, I have an Orion II with old software:
2.039d / DSP 2.06b14.

1. Downloaded the 3.03x7b software.
Set the COM1 port to 56700.
Executed the update program.

2. Get screen with:
"Flash rom update file...3.03x7b"
"Please be patient ..."
"10810 line in file"
"Using serial interface"

3. Then new window with
"Error encountered"
"Communication with radio has failed.
... radio may not operate properly.
... power cycle radio ... try again."

4. Power cycled radio and try again.
Same results.

5. Fortunately radio still works fine.

Any suggestions?
