[TenTec] Eagle CAT com port goes dumb on transmit

Hi Bob,
This is my vacation setup so I do not have access to much else, not even a
dummy load.  I did order a double-shielded USB cable which should get here
next week.  I disconnected everything from the laptop except the USB cable
and the problem still happens.  I would like to figure out how to ground the
laptop to the radio but there do not seem to be any reachable ground contact
points, some inspiration will be needed here.  I am hoping to get this
squared away before the IOTA contest which I hope to run from here on
NA-055.

are you using the more than one cable to the laptop?
try keying rig with only the USB control cable and a manual key.
