Thanks, Rick!

Pure coincidence! I'd no idea that you had owned any Alfa-Romeos. Back
in the late '70s I knew another guy that did. A sweet ride, but I recall
that it needed a fair bit of tinkering.

I simply don't understand what someone wants to accomplish by posting on
a TenTec list that they decided not to buy a TenTec radio. Honestly:
what's the point? Is there something they want from one of us? If so,
what is it? I use this list for information and problem solving: if
something seems broke, or I don't understand how it works or how to do
something, if I need a part, etc., I come here first. But I'd never come
here and say "Y'know, I heard <blah blah blah> so I'm not going to buy a
TT radio." That's simply goofy.

As for my Orion II, I'm going to perform the PowerPole conversion on it.
I plan to go to a hamfest in early April where there's a guy that always
shows up with just about every PowerPole connector ever created and
sells 'em for pretty good prices. Yes, I could buy 'em on the web, but
then I'd lose my great excuse to go. My other excuse is to finally
attend an Oklahoma DX Association meeting after having been a member
for, um... A long time. I just hope I'm not called out for the VORTEX
South East project that weekend -- OU's taking part and supplying a
couple of mobile radars, one of which I'm on.

Boomer!

73,

Kim N5OP
