[TenTec] Jupiter Display brightness

Not to monopolize the thread, here is what

I found in my Jupiter.

The voltage regulator supplies 5V to

parallel resistors, then 4.5v to J12.

When I put 5V directly to J12, the backlight

brittens up a bit but the graphics is still

dim. So went ahead and ordered a new display.

However, the new display looks like it

won’t come with a connecting flat cable (FFC).

Question to arGy, did you have to unsolder

the 20 or so pins from the old display cable to 

then to the new one? Or did your display

come with a cable attached?

BTW,, the R133 Contrast control is a coarse

adjustment, and sensitive too.
