Thanks Greg.
I tried it when there was no activity and even went "Off channel" to see if that made a difference.
I keep thinking it is an operational error though because the rig did accept the QRG and mode commands.

Joe.... Winmor has a built in busy channel detection. You can adjust it... It hung me for a while when I first started playing. Greg KC8HXO

The Omni VI
does not have a keying interface. You would need to use a
Winkey keyer for that.
