Bob,
The DB9 connector goes from the ACC1 port on the Omni VII to the port (looks like a RJ-45) marked “Radio" on the SignaLink USB. There is also on the SignaLink a port marked “USB” (female data socket) between which a usb cable runs from it to the computer. If I connect the USB cable to the Optiplex computer, HFD works. If I connect the USB cable to the NanoPC, it does not. I am not using a USB hub.

Perhaps a missing driver or such. Or maybe that your RS-232 to USB converter is a device using Prolifit chipset. Some units work somewhat, and many do not. I have had 100% success with the FTDI chipset and the interface model RTS-03 from R T Systems.

>> Thanks for the reply, I forgot to mention that I have an RS-232 to USB connected to a SignaLink USB Interface, via a DB-9 to the Radio’s ACC and the USB to the computer. If I switch the USB cable coming from the SignaLink USB to my Optiplex 390 computer it works. But switching the cable to the NanoPC it does not. It is the same cable.
>> I am stumped! The HRD software is a paid version on the Optiplex computer, HRD on the NanoPC is a trial version with 28 days left. But that should make any difference. What even further surprises me, it the the 780 Digital Master does work on NanoPC even though HRD does not. I have even turned off the firewall on the NanoPC with no effect, thinking perhaps that was the problem. But no dice. ????

Be sure the RS-232 to USB converter uses the FTDI chip set and NOT the Prolific chip set. That connects between the DB-9 connector on the back of the radio to a USB port on the computer.

Make sure your radio is switched on and not in memory mode.” The Radio is a Ten Tec Omni VII. I have tried all the com ports and speeds and auto-detect. I have the Soundcard input and output specified as USB Audio Codec. Any help would be appreciated! The computer is a NanoPC running Window 10 Pro.
