I got fed up with the crazy dial setup and put an old turns counter I had from many years ago on it. Doesn't look great, but it works.You might be able to find a turns counter on EBay or a surplus place, but they aren't cheap. MFJ has some tuner parts, but I haven't looked there. It's a possibility, but you have to adapt any you find.BTW, a fellow in EBay sells the pointer string and two nice led bulbs for a reasonable price. I'll go ahead and send the pointer and any associated parts when your address is verified. The PTT switch on my 708 mic is getting mechanically flaky.  
Does anyone know a source for a replacement  switch?
And does anyone have any hints about removing and replacing the decorative plate on the mic base (cemented in place with adhesive)?
