Been down your road! Use Deoxit to clean pins( don’t spray anything!! )drop on Q tip clean the pins. The Qtip will get gray in color when cleaning if really bad .
I use a silver grease on pins when I put the radio back together. Don’t use very much grease . If you can see it it’s to much! Be very careful with display don’t get any deoxit on it ! Bad news if you do! I know!!
Check for bad solder joints , I found some that looked cold but didn’t solder. I even cleaned the pins on the back board . After doing this my radio has worked over a year without a burp !
Clean clean and a little silver grease . Then and only then if radio still has times it doesn’t work the real trouble shooting starts. I hope you don’t get to that point. The Orion schematic is not any fun to follow. It’s not hard to work on but it eats time fast .hihi

Dear friends

Today I replaced all 9 capacitors (from mouser as recommended) on the A9
board. I also updated the firmware to version v3.033xe and performed two
master resets. But unfortunately nothing helped, the problem still exist.
Any other ideas?

Change all of the electrolytic capacitors on the A9 board with low ESR 105C
rated capacitors.

Most Orion problems like this are caused by A9 board problems.
